Chocolate Mouth is a brand of handmade chocolate from Austin that is inspired by the city's creative and slightly offbeat spirit. The main idea behind the brand was to bring back personality, humour, and attitude to chocolate. The bold graphics and expressive illustrations in the visual concept show Austin's sense of freedom and culture.

The goal was to make a brand that would be different from the usual and boring look of chocolate packaging. It was important to show off the brand's lively and unique personality while also making a visual system that could be used on a variety of themed boxes and collections. The brand had to look different, be bold, and be easy to remember.

We made a full brand identity that included a logo, packaging, custom illustrations, and an online store. The brand's unique visual language comes from all of the illustrations that were made just for the project. The result is a strong and expressive brand that captures the spirit of Austin and makes each chocolate box a small work of art.

The idea came from the spirit of Austin, Texas, a city known for its creative culture, music, art, and the phrase "Keep Austin Weird."

Chocolate Mouth is an artisan chocolate company based in Austin, Texas. They are known for their handmade bon bons and fun, unique gift boxes. The brand was made to bring back personality, humour, and attitude to chocolate, moving away from the overly romantic chocolate branding that used to be popular.
We wanted to turn this one-of-a-kind energy into a brand that is bold, expressive, and a little rebellious, but still honours the art of making small-batch chocolate.

The hardest part was coming up with a brand that would stand out in a market where chocolate packaging is usually traditional, elegant, and predictable.
Chocolate Mouth wanted something that was different-something that showed real people, real feelings, and real lives. Their chocolate isn’t just for Valentine’s Day or weddings. It’s for everything from breakups to celebrations to random Tuesdays.
The brand needed to get:
the creative and somewhat disorganized energy of Austin, strong look and feel, packaging that is fun, collectible, and easy to remember, a visual system that could work for a lot of different themed gift boxes and seasonal drops.
We made a bold and expressive visual identity that shows off Austin’s culture and the brand’s fun personality.
The project included making:
Designing a Logo. System for Brand Identity. Design of packaging for different collections of chocolate boxes. System for Custom Illustrations. Design and Build of E-Commerce Websites

The custom illustration style made just for this project is a big part of the brand’s identity. Every illustration was made from scratch and adds its own style to the packaging. Some examples are fun skeletons, old-school tattoos, Austin landmarks, and cultural references.
These pictures make a visual language that is alive, different, and clearly Austin.
The packaging was made to look like mini art posters, so each chocolate box became a collectible item instead of just a box.
We also made and designed a custom e-commerce website that continues the same visual storytelling to support the brand experience online. The site has the same bold personality: it’s colourful, fun, a little strange, and definitely one of a kind.

The end result is a brand that feels real, lively, and memorable. It perfectly captures the spirit of Austin and gives Chocolate Mouth a strong place in the world of artisan chocolate.
