Una Luna. Confectionery Packaging
concept
Made with natural ingredients and true Italian dark chocolate, the luxury chocolate company Project Una Luna is With its Roses and Grapes and Cherry Garden collections, the intention was to produce packaging that embodied Ukrainian history, sophistication, and effect on the shelf that would be unforgettable.
challenge
The design had to be more than just aesthetically pleasing; it had to arouse feeling, tell a story, and establish cultural relevance for consumers. The names of every book were inspired by famous Ukrainian poetry; Cherry Garden alludes to Taras Shevchenko, while Roses and Grapes borrow from Maxim Rylsky's lyrics. Maintaining clarity and great brand awareness, the difficulty was converting these literary inspirations into a modern, opulent, particularly Ukrainian packaging design.
solution
For every collection, a collage-style graphic was selected to create an original and unforgettable arrangement. Fruit used in the chocolates—grapes, cherries, pears, and peaches—are combined in the packaging design with rich floral and natural motifs. While little gold lettering accentuates the premium impression, the deep black background makes a dramatic contrast with the vivid images. This strategy not only emphasizes the caliber of the product but also gently supports its link to Ukrainian poetry and culture.
