Sergio Dalla Riva's packaging's design concept mostly relies on the brand's half-century of knowledge in coffee making and its strong Italian background. We aimed to showcase the core of classic Italian coffee culture in a modern and relevant manner.

Distinguished coffee brand Sergio Dalla Riva boasts a long legacy spanning more than 50 years. Originally from the Vicenza area in the heart of Italy, the brand has developed a reputation for quality and authenticity in the world of coffee when challenged with designing something that honors its esteemed past while appealing to the contemporary coffee aficionado.

Timeless Italian Elegance in Modern Coffee Packaging: Sergio Dalla Riva.

Traditional Black Backdrops There was careful selection of a clean, matte black backdrop for the box. Black represents elegance, quality, and timelessness—qualities the Sergio Dalla Riva brand embodies naturally. This neutral backdrop also helps the other design components to be more vivid. Tricolor Accent in Italian. The design gently combines the colors of the Italian flag—green, white, and red—subtly incorporated into the packaging to highlight the brand's Italian roots. These colors accentuate the roots of the company and provide the design some brightness and national pride. Superior Typography: Strong, beautiful typeography guarantees that the brand name "Sergio Dalla Riva" will take front stage on the package. While the gold accents accentuate the premium character of the goods, the serif typeface communicates a feeling of dependability and history. Right in the middle of the packaging is a well detailed picture of a freshly made espresso together with a beautiful crema. This graphic tells right away the main offering of the product: a premium coffee experience.

Beyond only appearances, the container design chronicles Sergio Dalla Riva’s 50-year career in the coffee business. Including “Maestro del Caffè” and the signature of the founder gives a personal touch and links the customer with the legendary background of the brand and the workmanship behind every bag of coffee. Although appearance was first priority, we also paid close attention to package practicality. The robust materials used are meant to guard the freshness of the coffee, thereby conserving the rich flavors and smells from the moment the bag is sealed until it is opened at the consumer’s house. Different coffee blends were used with the packaging design applied across:
Espresso Nº 3: Emphasized with a green accent, this espresso mix is forceful and strong.
Marked with a red accent, 100% Arabica reflects the rich and smooth nature of this pure Arabica coffee. Every variation keeps a similar design language while letting the particular qualities of the coffee show.

Apart from the use guidelines and the roast level scale, on the back of every coffee packet you will find comprehensive information about the origins of the coffee beans, including the particular areas in Italy where they are obtained. To help consumers select the mix that best fits their taste preferences, there is also a flavor profile chart outlining the scent, acidity, body, and aftertaste. Along with storage advice to preserve freshness and a synopsis of Sergio Dalla Riva’s 50-year record in creating great coffee, the packaging offers brewing instructions for several techniques including espresso, French press, and pour-over. Finally, customers may scan a QR code to find out more about the environmental policies of the business and follow the path the coffee beans travel from farm to cup.
