Grown in southern Italy, Bel Gusto is a Ukrainian brand focused in premium pasta produced from the best durum wheat. Penne, Conchiglie, Fellini, Fusilli, Macaroni, Spaghetti, and Cavatappi are among the product line items. A whole redesign was done to improve Bel Gusto's market visibility and fit modern branding trends.
challenge
The aim was to establish Bel Gusto's unique and appealing brand identity so as to enhance her position in the competitive pasta market. Designing packaging that would appeal to consumers by bringing authenticity, Italian workmanship, and high product quality while yet keeping a distinctive and identifiable visual appeal was a difficult task.
solution
Inspired by the idea of a postal parcel from Italy, which conveyed travel, cultural diversity, and culinary history, the rebranding concept evolved. Reiterating the Italian link of the company, the package combines design elements evocative of postal items, such postage stamps, stamps, hand-drawn images, and a kraft paper texture.
